Central on a village square, an empty stone pedestal was installed, transformed to accommodate
functions typical of public life, such as a bicycle rack, a water tap, a urinal and a mailbox. The various features are carefully carved directly into the solid stone, making the pedestal not just a symbolic object but a practical part of daily life. Traditionally, the pedestal serves as a support, elevating a statue or commemorative object, but here the pedestal itself becomes the focus.
